Alec Baldwin lashes out over ‘sexually suggestive’ photo backlash

Alec Baldwin is not too pleased that many felt his Instagram caption beneath a photo of his wife and young son was “sexually suggestive.”

“The US is a country fueled by hate,” the embattled actor, 64, lashed out in the post’s comments section in response to one of his defenders.

His controversial caption — which was accompanied by an image of Hilaria Baldwin, 39, getting a back rub from 6-year-old Leonardo — initially read, “The old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy,” which sparked a wave of criticism.

“That’s a pretty f–king weird comment to make on a photo of your son and his mother 😂,” one critic remarked, while another called the word choice “disgusting.”

“SexuaIizing children is always so weird but your own child? Yikes,” a third dissenter added.

In light of the negative commentary, the “30 Rock” star added, “Potato chips to follow,” and explained, “I adjusted the text. I guess because…you know…there is so much of that Reddit trash out there.”

Both Alec and Hilaria have been the subject of several internet conspiracies over the years, including the theory that the Boston-born yoga instructor — who has been called out for faking a Spanish accentwears fake baby bumps during her pregnancies. She has vehemently denied the “psycho” rumor.

But the longtime couple, who share seven children, have bigger fish to fry these days.

Last week, prosecutors announced they would be charging Alec with involuntary manslaughter for the fatal shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.

The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed — who oversaw the weapons on set — will also be charged with involuntary manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of 18 months in jail.

An attorney for Alec called the charge against his client a “terrible miscarriage of justice,” while Hilaria recently begged paparazzi to “leave [her] family in peace” while wearing a sweatshirt that read, “Empathy.”
