This fashion malfunction wasn’t so fetch.
“Mean Girls” actress Amanda Seyfried hit the Critics Choice Awards 2023 red carpet Sunday in a gorgeous golden Dior gown – but unfortunately, it had some issues.
The star, who took home the Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television award for her performance as Elizabeth Holmes in “The Dropout,” admitted to “Access Hollywood” that the archival lamé chiffon dress was “ripping and actually breaking.”
“It keeps breaking. I’m not kidding!” the mom of one lamented.
“I’m just going to take off my dress,” Seyfried quipped as one of her sleeves slipped off.
“Honestly it’s old, it’s beautiful!” she added.
While she made it through the rest of the red carpet conversation, at the end she bemoaned, “My dress is falling off.”
Seyfried was styled by Elizabeth Stewart for the big night.
She paired her metallic gown with Cartier jewels, Stuart Weitzman heels and a red lip, courtesy of Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Intimatte Lipstick in French Touch ($35).
It appears Seyfried did actually ditch the dress later in the evening; when she hit the stage during the ceremony to accept the award for Best Limited Series alongside the rest of the “Dropout” crew, she was wearing a black leather jacket and had swapped her ponytail for loose waves to cover up the issue.
