Bam Margera arrested for domestic violence after allegedly kicking his girlfriend

Bam Margera is back in hot water after being arrested for allegedly kicking his girlfriend during a domestic violence dispute.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department told TMZ that deputies were called to a residence in Escondido, Calif. at around 5 a.m. on Thursday before officials took Margera into custody.

Although the alleged victim — who has not been identified — told law enforcement that her “husband” kicked her, sources told TMZ that Margera’s estranged wife, Nicole Boyd, was not involved.

The following day, the “Jackass” alum posted a $50,000 bail and was released from custody.

The incident comes one month after Boyd filed for legal separation from Margera, 43, amid ongoing concerns for his health.

The model’s lawyer, David Glass, told TMZ that Boyd reached her final straw after witnessing the reality star acting “inappropriately” while seemingly intoxicated around their 5-year-old son, Phoenix.

Although Margera claims to be sober, the 39-year-old had to make “the hard choice” in order “to protect herself and their son.” She ultimately asked for both legal and physical custody of Phoenix, as well as spousal support.

Boyd will allow Margera, whom she wed in 2013, to have supervised visits of their son.

Meanwhile, Boyd isn’t the only person worried about the former professional skateboarder.

Earlier this year, Steve-O begged Margera to get sober in an emotional plea, saying he feared the reality TV star was close to death.

“Bam, last night you had your five year old son with you on stage at my show, and you were blessed with the chance to spend another day or two with him — then as soon as you left my show, you stayed up all night getting loaded enough to think it was a good idea to post more vile nonsense like this,” the 48-year-old, wrote under one of Margera’s strange social media posts.

Steve-O — who has been sober for nearly 15 years — went on to ask Margera to “choose recovery” for the sake of the people he loves.

“I wish you could know how much I’ve hated feeling braced for news of your death, but you’re making it clear that I have no other choice,” he concluded. “You’re dying, brother, and it sucks that I can’t do anything to save you.”

Margera has been in and out of rehab since 2009. In fact, he escaped from court-ordered rehabilitation facilities over three times just in the last year.
