Ben Affleck officially runs on Dunkin’.
The coffee fanatic suited up as a drive-thru employee for a commercial that aired during Super Bowl LVII.
In the ad, Affleck wears a full Dunkin’ uniform, from his head in a branded visor to a T-shirt with the chain’s motto, “America runs on Dunkin’.” He completes the look with a headset to take customers’ orders — with a Boston accent.
The “Argo” star’s wife, Jennifer Lopez, also appears in the commercial as a customer who pulls up to the drive-thru window.
“What are you doing? Is this what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?” she asks.
Photos of Affleck, 50, and Lopez, 53, on the set of their ad went viral last month after Medford, Mass., patrons happened to be lucky enough to have the movie star as their server.
One such customer, Lisa Mackey, shared a picture on Instagram of Affleck on the job, thanking him and the “Waiting for Tonight” singer “for my coffee this morning.” Mackey described Affleck as “quick-witted and funny” to NBC10 Boston and confirmed that crew members had told her a commercial was in the works.
After the photos spread across the internet as quickly as a coffee spill, Twitter users joked that Affleck had never looked happier while serving java.
“no one has ever seen Ben Affleck smile this hard in Hollywood,” entertainment reporter Fletcher Peters tweeted. “man needs to quit his job and start picking up shifts at Dunkin’.”
“Find someone who loves you the way Ben Affleck loves #Dunkin,” another user wrote.
At the end of 2020, when the world was forlorn from the hostile takeover of COVID-19, Affleck once again went viral when paparazzi caught him narrowly avoiding a Dunkin’ disaster when he struggled to balance various iced coffees, Munchkins and a package.
