Clive Davis’s famous pre-Grammy party will return to the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the first time in three years, and it’s shaping up to be one of his starriest yet.
Invitations to the bash went out last week and Page Six has exclusively learned that Cardi B, Offset, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Miranda Lambert, Sharon Stone, Demi Lovato, Avril Lavigne, Lizzo and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have all RSVP’d.
“People really, really missed the party [during its hiatus]. It is absolutely the must-attend event of year and everyone has someone turning the town upside down to get an invite,” an insider told Page Six.
Davis honored Sean “Diddy” Combs and Janet Jackson at his last party at the Hilton in 2020. Beyonce and Jay-Z were at that party to honor the icons. The pandemic forced him to go virtual in 2021.
We hear regulars like Nancy Pelosi, Valerie Simpson, Larry Gagosian, Earth Wind and Fire, Tamron Hall, Nile Rodgers and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are also expected to attend. The music legend, 90, is notoriously tight lipped about performers, but told us we should expect “some of the singularly greatest performances in the history of modern music, spectacular one-time-only duets and the introduction of new artists just on the cusp of becoming global mega stars – as Whitney Houston was when she first performed at the party,” he said.
Davis reminded us that iconic performances like Houston’s debut “all took place at the pre-Grammy gala. This year will be no different. The entertainment will be simply extraordinary,” he promised.
Cardi and Lizzo’s Atlantic Records bosses Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman will be honored with the Recording Academy’s annual Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Award at the bash on Feb. 4.
