It may be winter, but celebs are always heating up Instagram with bikini pics.
And what are the go-to swim styles for the stars looking to wow on the beach or in the pool? Ultimate it-girl brand Heavy Manners, which stocks the funkiest fabrics in flattering cuts beloved by Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Elsa Hosk, Dua Lipa, Gabrielle Union and more.
Known for the unique front-tie top and vintage-inspired prints, the brand debuted in 2019 after two years of “trial and error,” according to Heavy Manners founder and creative director Lisa Caprio, who “didn’t go to college or fashion school of any sort.”

“Our brand ethos is a mix between your grandmothers basement and growing up at the beach every summer in the nineties, and I think a lot of our prints reflect that,” she exclusively tells Page Six Style.
“I’ve always been introverted dreamer. I am subconsciously always connected to the memories of when I was little with family, Sunday dinners, my grandmothers, mother, my older sister who was my nineties dream,” she continues.

“I think it’s such a major part of who I am that it’s impossible to not show that through my work. I’ve tried, I guess, to hide it at times, to keep what’s personal to me personal, but it’s the backbone of all the feelings inside me.”
Caprio, 31, counts Jenner and Hosk as two early-adopters of the brand who have supported her since the beginning, calling it a “mini celebration” every time the models continue to wear her designs.

“I want our designs to make our customers feel their best, our prints to remind them of their inner child, and spark joy inside of them,” she adds of the kaleidoscope of custom designs, which include beachy florals, ’70s-inspired geometric shapes and bold abstract colors.
The swim — which was restocked on Thursday with four all new styles — is purposefully designed as well as creatively, Caprio says.
“I think about tan lines and how the fabric is going to feel on your body on a hot day, every little detail like that is taken into account.”
And though bikinis are certainly the stand-out category for the brand, Heavy Manners also launched with sweatsuits right before the pandemic sent loungewear sales spiking, and has since expanded into denim, accessories, jewelry and a slew of clothing, including knitwear, which is currently available for pre-order.

Caprio says she would “DIE” to see Rihanna in one of her designs and it would also be her dream to collaborate with “brands that have such iconic prints like Pucci, Versace, Missoni, the list goes on.”
For now, fans will have to snap up the newest styles from Heavy Manners — if they can get their hands on it.
