Chilli isn’t saying no to having kids with boyfriend Matthew Lawrence — but she has to be married first.
Speaking on the “Ryan Cameron Uncensored” radio show Friday, the TLC songstress simply said “you never know” about whether she would want to have kids with the “Boy Meets World” actor.
“I would never say that [I’m done with families],” she added after bursting into a fit of nervous laughter.
The singer, 52, also made it clear that she wants to be married before starting a family. However, it sounds like that could be happening in the near future as well.
“I gotta be married for sure … and I’m not married, yet,” she said cheekily.
Chilli’s family plans with her boyfriend come after Lawrence, 43, told “Entertainment Tonight” earlier this month that he and Chilli have a “game plan” to start a family.
However, during the radio show, the singer clarified that his comments were taken out of context and that he was talking about his older brother Joey Lawrence’s family plans instead of their own.
“They didn’t show that part but when you go on there and you see the whole interview then you see he was not talking about us working on having a baby … because that’s not what’s happening,” the singer — who already shares son Tron, 25, with ex Dallas Austin — said.
Matthew also clarified his initial comments, telling E! News, “Joe and I were commiserating about this plan that we had to have children together … when we were growing up. And I missed the first go around and now he’s starting a new family and I was thinking, ‘Man, it’d be great if we could do it again when I didn’t have the chance to raise a family together.’”
“So that’s what I meant by that,” he continued. “I didn’t mean to put any pressure on somebody I was dating or anything.”
Despite the confusion, the “Boy Meets World” alum went on to gush about his leading lady, who he says would make an “incredible” life partner.
“She’s an amazing person,” the actor said. “She’s already a mother, she has an incredible son. I respect so much as to how she’s raised him. She’d be an incredible mother again and I’d be incredibly lucky but that’s way in the future.”

The “Waterfalls” singer confirmed she was dating Lawrence in January, nearly five months after they first sparked romance rumors.
Prior to his relationship with Chilli — whose real name is Rozonda Thomas — Lawrence was married to Cheryl Burke. The former couple was married for three years before finalizing their divorce in September 2022.
Despite their split, Burke was supportive of her ex after hearing he was hoping to start a family.
“I really, truly hope he can actually have a kid with Chilli,” she said on an episode of “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever with Chris Harrison.”
In fact, the “Dancing With the Stars” alum said she was not “surprised” by the revelation because the actor “always wanted” to be a father.
