“Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider “desperately” misses his wife, Alicia Allain, after her death.
The actor gave a transparent glimpse of his grief journey in a Facebook post Sunday, writing that he has “no words” to communicate his loss.
Schneider, 62, also shared a throwback photo Saturday of himself and Allain kissing.
“For me, this is what love looks like,” he wrote.
The country singer previously penned a candid message expressing the “unimaginable sorrow” he felt two days after his partner lost her battle with breast cancer at age 53.
“Grief is much too small a word,” he wrote last Thursday. “I’ve heard it said that ‘with great love comes great sorrow.’ I had no idea what that meant until now.”
Schneider broke the news of Allain’s death Wednesday, telling his followers that she had died one day prior.

“My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” he wrote at the time. “Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions.
“If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below. Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”
Schneider and Allain tied the knot in September 2019 after four years together.
The couple had been married to other people before, with Allain sharing daughter Jessica Ann with ex-husband Patrick Dollard.
As for Schneider, the “Smallville” alum wed Tawny Little and Elvira “Elly” Schneider in 1983 and 1993, respectively, welcoming son Chasen and daughters Karis and Leah with the latter.
In 2020, Schneider and Allain revealed her stage 4 HER2-negative cancer diagnosis on “Fox & Friends.”
The actress shared her “rigid regime” at the time, explaining, “I went into, like, a speed course of reading what path I was going to take. I decided to do keto for cancer, CBD oil and then ground myself in minerals.”
