Though Emily Ratajkowski is “enjoying” casual dating, she feels paparazzi have made the experience quite difficult for her.
Since filing for divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard last fall, the model has been photographed on dates with Pete Davidson, DJ Orazio Rispo, Jack Greer and Eric André, which she feels has “screwed up” the natural process of getting to know them.
“I’ve been trying to casually date and not get cuffed up, and it’s been hard to do that and be kind of mindful of the people that I’m seeing,” the 31-year-old explained during the latest episode of her “High Low” podcast.
“Any time I go on another date, everybody knows,” she continued. “So the other guys I’m dating see it, and it has been kind of difficult because of course they’re like, ‘Didn’t talk to her last night,’ and then there’s pictures of me out to dinner with someone else. It sucks.”
The “My Body” author admitted that she also doesn’t “necessarily want to know” when the men she’s seeing go out with other people.
Therefore, Ratajkowski said the experience has been “tricky to navigate,” adding that it causes her “so much anxiety,” she often ends up feeling “embarrassed” and “apologizing.”
In some cases, she said romances have fizzled out or completely halted because they “got out there too fast, and the pressure of it all became so heightened.”
Earlier this week, Page Six obtained exclusive pictures of the “Blurred Lines” video vixen canoodling beachfront at the Palm Heights in Grand Cayman with the “Eric André Show” host.
“It is a really cool and hip hotel,” a source told us. “But it isn’t on the paparazzi radar, which is probably why they were so relaxed.”
Our eyewitness saw the pair “kissing and flirting,” noting that their rapport seemed more “playful” than “romantic.”
The stars were also overheard discussing past relationships, as our spy said Ratajkowski — whose estranged husband is an alleged serial cheater — told André, 39, that she is “traumatized by men” and even shared one particular “horror story.”
“Eric was acting surprised, saying, ‘That guy really did that?’” our insider dished.
Ratajkowski — who shares son Sylvester, almost 2, with Bear-McClard — recently told her podcast listeners she feels she attracts the “worst men” and that it’s hard to find partners who can “handle strong women.”
