“Euphoria” star Chloe Cherry has reportedly been charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing a $28 blouse from a store in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
According to documents obtained by Lancaster Online, a Building Character shopping mall employee showed authorities footage of the former porn star — whose real name is Elise Jones — going into a dressing room with a Moda International blouse on Dec. 27.
However, the video allegedly showed Cherry — who played Faye in the HBO hit series — leaving said dressing room without the blouse in hand and it had not been left behind either., which led employees to assume that she had taken it.
According to the complaint, the model paid for other items using a credit card but did not purchase the blouse. Police subsequently got involved, and Cherry reportedly admitted to taking the blouse before returning it to the officer.
Cherry was then charged with misdemeanor retail theft in January.
The model’s rep then told TMZ, “In December, there was confusion over a blouse that wasn’t properly charged to my client’s credit card. In no way did she ‘admit’ to taking the blouse, since that was not the case.”
“This story seems to be more about a local store trading on a celebrity’s name more than anything else.”
Her rep, however, told us “it was not true” when reached for comment.
Cherry is reportedly scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 1.
