Hayden Panettiere’s brother, Jansen, was found unresponsive at his New York apartment Sunday by friends.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the 28-year-old’s pals became concerned and went to his place after he failed to show up to a business meeting.
Jansen was reportedly found sitting upright in a chair, unresponsive. His friend called 911 and administered CPR, according to the site.
The child actor’s father, Skip Panettiere, allegedly told cops he spoke to his son on Saturday and he seemed “Ok.”
News of Jansen’s death broke Monday, and a cause of death for the artist and designer — who went by RANE — has yet to be determined. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that there was no suspected foul play.
The 33-year-old “Heroes” actress has yet to comment on her brother’s death.
Jansen and his older sister were seemingly close, as he shared a heartwarming black-and-white photo of Hayden smiling as she cut his hair on Jan. 24.
“Not the first haircut she’s tried to give me,” he captioned the post.
Jansen’s girlfriend — Catherine Michie — posted a tribute on Instagram to her late beau on Sunday, writing that she was “sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me most.”
Jansen had played various roles growing up in shows like “Even Stevens,” “Blue’s Clues,” “Robots” and “The Last Day of Summer,” but later in his life focused on his art.
The siblings also got to work together on three films: “Tiger Cruise” in 2004, “Racing Stripes” in 2005 and “The Forger” in 2011.
