Ramona Singer may be done with the “Real Housewives of New York City,” but she’s not entirely off our screens yet.
Fans were shocked to discover that the former reality star, 66, is starring in a short film titled “Friendly Distractions” which is currently in production.
“why have i just stumbled upon a short film starring Ramona Singer where she thinks her daughter is a lesbian,” one fan tweeted Tuesday, sharing a clip of Singer’s performance.
In the scene, the former “Housewife” questioned if her on-screen daughter Ella — played by Claire Tyers from “Search Party” — was a lesbian.
After the clip had gone viral on social media, fans had mixed reactions to Singer’s new career choice with several users criticizing the performance.
“the fact i found out on grindr is even crazier like what is happening,” one fan said, while another added, “this looks like a cheap porn intro.”
On the other hand, others praised her acting chops and even called for the Bravolebrity to collect an Academy Award.
“oh she’s coming for that Oscar,” one fan wrote.
“I heard that even though she isn’t nominated for an Oscar this year they’re gonna give her one anyways,” another tweeted.
“No amount of acting classes would teach anyone how to convey so many emotions with a simple shrug and this understated, subtle, subdued look of disbelief… She is a business maven, a pop icon, and now also a thespian!!!” added another supporter.
It is still unclear when the short film will be out and if Singer plans to continue pursuing an acting career. She had previously also starred as God in the 2019 film “Blair’s Lair – The Delivery Guy.”
Last November, Singer told Page Six exclusively that she was leaving “RHONY” after 13 seasons on the show.
“I do not want to do the show any longer,” she told us at the time. “It’s not for me at this time.”
Though fans were sad to see Singer depart from the reality show, she revealed that he has “never been happier.”
“I’m 60 something now, I worked hard my whole life. It’s time for me just to enjoy myself,” she told the Daily Mail last month. “And doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. Very stressful, very stressful.”
She added, “I don’t miss it at all. It was a great experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
