The key to a successful marriage is a lot of sex, according to Joe Gorga.
During a live taping of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast on Friday night, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star said he and his wife, Melissa, are still getting busy in the bedroom after 19 years of marriage.
“I mean, you got to do it,” Joe told hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real at the event presented by Tri-State Cadillac. “Listen, if you don’t do it, you walk around and you become roommates. I don’t want a roommate that costs me a lot of money.”
“What happens is when you do it, then you walk downstairs the next day … and you touch each other. But if you don’t, you’re like ‘Hey how you doing? Did you pay that bill?’”
Despite the couple’s active sex life nowadays, Melissa revealed they didn’t have sex for nearly three months at the beginning of their relationship.
“I took her out … I wanted her so bad but I wouldn’t touch her,” her husband explained. “I played with her. I would have her come over and I would give her a little kiss.”
He continued, “I wanted to touch her … I wanted to go to second base so bad but then I said ‘go home.’”
However, all the teasing paid off and the 48-year-old said the first time the pair did the deed it was like “fireworks.”
Although the couple, who tied the knot in 2004, now know how to keep each other satisfied, they also know what to avoid doing.
When asked what Melissa’s “biggest turn-off” was, Joe quickly replied, “asking for sex” — which his wife rebutted saying it’s actually “chewing with food in his mouth.”
Naturally, Joe went on to say his biggest turn-off is when his wife “says no to sex.”
Looks like someone is excited for Valentine’s Day!
