Justin Bieber is finally showing public support for Hailey Bieber – several weeks after fans speculated that drama was brewing between the pop star’s wife and his ex Selena Gomez.
The “Baby” singer, 29, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a pic of himself cuddled up with Hailey on their recent tropical getaway.
“LUV U BABY,” he captioned the post, which showed the couple napping on the back of a boat in their bathing suits.
The Rhode founder, 26, jumped in the comments section, simply using the two hands making a heart emoji. She also re-shared the post to her Instagram Stories.
Hailey, who has been facing backlash online for weeks, once again faced the wrath of trolls who suggested she “stole” Justin’s phone to post the photo.
“LOL did hailey post this for you,” one follower commented, with another adding, “We know she probably made you post this 😂.”
A few others showed their support for Hailey, including one person who wrote. “I love Sel [but] leave Justin and Hailey ALONE. That’s not what our Queen teaches us! I believe she definitely happy without all that drama 🙌.”
Another chimed in, writing, “Why everyone is hating ? He loves her if he didn’t he would get a divorce He is not forced to say or post anything let the people live peacefully their relationship has nothing to do with y’all.”
Justin’s post came shortly after Hailey shared a throwback snap of her younger self, accompanied by the caption, “hugging this little girl extra tight.”
Social media users were quick to note that Gomez, 30, also shared a photo of herself as a pre-teen just days earlier on International Women’s Day.
“Dear younger me, please don’t be afraid to ask for help.❤️,” the Rare Beauty mogul captioned the post.
Justin’s post marks the first time he has publicly supported his wife since her apparent social media feud with Gomez.
Hailey and the “Only Murders in the Building” star have long been pitted against each other by fans, having both been romantically involved with the “Boyfriend” singer.
Gomez dated the Canadian hitmaker on and off for almost a decade. However, he proposed to Hailey in 2018 just a few months after splitting from Gomez for good.
Hailey and Gomez appeared to be on good terms when they posed for a photo together at a gala last year. However, fans speculated that drama reignited when Hailey posted a since-deleted TikTok video that seemingly shaded Gomez. Shortly afterward, she and Kylie Jenner were accused of making fun of Gomez’s eyebrows on Instagram.
Although Hailey denied accusations that she was a “mean girl,” Gomez announced that she was taking a break from social media amid the ongoing drama. At the time, she subsequently became the most-followed woman on Instagram, surpassing Jenner, 25.
Hailey was then mercilessly trolled on her birthday post to her husband last week, as he didn’t appear to acknowledge her sweet photos or message.
Meanwhile, Gomez said that her heart has been heavy amid recent headlines.
“Please, please be kinder,” she told her fans, noting in the comments section to consider others’ mental health.
“Thank you and love you all so much,” she wrote. “I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.”
