Kate Middleton is an Arctic princess.
The Princess of Wales wore a snowy white Zara blazer as she met Captain Preet Chandi at a school in Derby, England today to celebrate the Army officer’s record-breaking Antarctic exhibition.
The royal, 41, stepped out in sneakers for the occasion, debuting a double-breasted tweed blazer ($99) from high street fave Zara.
It’s a familiar look for the princess, who has sported both a green and red version of the retailer’s textured blazers over the years, including on a 2022 trip to Denmark.
She wore a simple long-sleeved white sweater underneath, pairing the look with the white and rose gold Veja sneakers ($150) she’s worn to several other events, Accessorize gold hoop earrings with pearl and gold charms ($12) and a pair of ankle-length navy trousers with a black belt.
Middleton isn’t the only royal who loves a Veja shoe; Meghan Markle has sported a black-and-white “V-10” style ($195) from the brand.
The princess, who served as patron of Captain Chandi’s expedition to Antarctica, took her blazer off for a fun exercise, dragging two tires across the floor to see what the 33-year-old’s prep was like before heading to the Arctic.
“I need to do some training,” the mom of three said with a laugh as she wore a wide belt with the tires strapped to it.
Chandi, who now holds the world record for the furthest unsupported solo polar ski expedition in history, joined the princess in speaking to students about perseverance, resilience and mental well-being as part of the royal’s efforts in promoting mental health in young people.
Her casual outfit follows another laid-back look the Princess of Wales sported in recent days, bringing back an L.K. Bennett coat from 2011 in a promotional video for her “Shaping Us” early childhood campaign.
