Kate Moss is entering a new year with an old ‘do.
The stunning supermodel has been in the industry for decades, and now she’s returning to one of her most famous looks.
Moss, 48, stars in the newest Marc Jacobs ad campaign, wearing towering platform heels and various denim looks along with bubblegum pink hair.
Though she’s a famous blonde, the style star did once dye her hair a rosy hue for one week in the ’90s to walk the runway for the Versace spring/summer 1999 runway show.
Luckily, noted photographer Juergen Teller documented the moment by snapping a famous photo of Moss lounging in bed with her bright pink locks.
“[It’s] so sad, because this picture is when it started looking good,” the catwalker told SHOWstudio in 2014 of the shot.
In fact, Moss loved the experience of going pink so much, she included Teller’s snap in her tome “Kate: The Kate Moss Book,” even describing it as the photo that’s “the most me” in a 2012 interview with the Telegraph.
“Because it is us just having a laugh in my bed. There wasn’t a hair or makeup artist or anything. It’s more like working with an artist, working with Juergen,” she said at the time.
Hairstylist Laurie Foley has spoken about Moss’ secret pre-Versace hair transformation, too.
“It was all hush-hush,” Foley told New Beauty in 2018. “It took at least eight hours because we had to get that brunette off of her without damaging the hair.”
Just one week post-show, Moss returned to her brunette tresses for a Calvin Klein runway presentation.
Perhaps she’ll keep the vibrant look around for a bit longer this time.
