Skim-ping on brand promotion?
While frolicking in a field for a series of Instagram photos on Monday, Kylie Jenner sported the Raw Edge Onesie ($78) from Kim Kardashian’s Skims label.
But while she captioned the carousel “kyventures,” there was no mention of Kim’s brand — an omission that didn’t escape notice.
“can u tag @skims please LOL,” the shapewear mogul commented on the post, in which Kylie also wears Gianvito Rossi Montey Boots ($1,695) and Bottega Venetta Cone Wraparound Sunglasses ($635).
Kylie swiftly set the record straight, replying, “@kimkardashian i had to steal this from moms house and now you want me to promote ?!!!! wow @skims.”
It’s far from the first time the Kylie Cosmetics founder has sported Skims on social media; last month, she bundled up in the Skims Cozy Knit Unisex Robe ($128) in a TikTok, while she’s previously posted multiple Instagram Stories rocking nothing but the Cotton Jersey Triangle Bralette ($32).
And perhaps she didn’t have to raid Kris’ house for the Rhinestone Logo Pointelle Onesie ($148) she modeled in late December, as she remembered to tag the Skims account in that series of mirror selfies.
She’s previously even starred in one of the brand’s official ads, having posed in red-hot lingerie for a Valentine’s Day campaign in 2021.
The rest of the famous family is no stranger to quipping about Skims styles in the comments section either; Kim and Khloé Kardashian once modeled the same Jelly Sheer Full Bodysuit ($108) in separate Instagram photos, prompting the latter to comment, “You’re a bitch” and, “Oh ok well I didn’t look like this in mine. Ha.”
Khloé’s Good American brand has also provided plenty of fashion fodder for the sisters, with Kylie tagging the brand in a set of snowy bikini snaps in December.
Perhaps the family that Instagrams together, stays together.
