Michael Lockwood is mourning ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley after the 54-year-old’s shocking death.
The guitarist’s lawyer, Joe Yanny, told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday that his “world has been turned on its ear.”
The statement noted that Lockwood is “with both of his daughters” — twins Harper and Finley, 14 — whom he welcomed with Presley during their decade-long marriage.
“Michael had been hoping for a speedy and complete recovery because her children needed her,” Yanny continued. “It is very sad it didn’t turn out that way.”
Presley was hospitalized at West Hills Hospitals and Medical Center in California on Thursday after going into cardiac arrest at home.
The singer, who sources tell us “coded multiple times,” was placed in a medically-induced coma.
Priscilla Presley confirmed her and Elvis Presley’s only daughter’s passing that evening.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” the actress, 77, told the Associated Press.
“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known,” Priscilla added.
Lisa Marie is also survived by Finley and Harper, as well as her 33-year-old daughter, Riley, with ex-husband Danny Keough.
The former couple were also the parents of son Ben, who died by suicide in July 2020.
One of Lisa Marie’s final Instagram uploads was a touching tribute to the 27-year-old, showing off their matching Celtic eternity knot tattoos.
The ink symbolized that the duo would “be connected forever,” she wrote in July 2022, concluding, “We carefully picked it to represent our eternal love and our eternal bond. 💔😞”
Lisa Marie’s final public appearance was at the Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday with Priscilla at her side.
