The city mayor that never sleeps.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams joined Kimora Lee Simmons for a late-night dinner at hotspot Nobu Fifty Seven amid New York Fashion Week, Page Six has exclusively learned.
A spy tells us the party-loving politician, 62, was seated right next to the Baby Phat CEO, 47, throughout the meal, which took place around midnight early Saturday.
The source adds that there was no PDA and that there were other people present at the table, including Simmons’ daughters, Ming Lee, 23, and Aoki Lee, 20, whom we’re told were fresh off the fashion week runways.
“They were just acting friendly toward each other,” a spy says of Adams and Simmons. “Nothing intimate.”
In a photo obtained by Page Six from the dinner, Simmons can be seen having a conversation with one of the diners at her table, and a spy says that Adams — although not visible in the shot — was next to the her at that moment.
We’re told the mayor left separately and about 15 minutes earlier than the model and her guests.
A City Hall spokesperson confirms to Page Six that the pair do not have a romantic relationship and only just met last Friday night — even though they share an interesting connection, as Aoki has interned for Adams.
We’re told there were about eight people at the dinner party, including a mutual friend of Adams’ and Simmons’ who invited the retired NYPD captain to attend.
The City Hall spokesperson adds that Adams was invited as a guest because both the mutual friend and Aoki were going to be there.
According to Aoki’s LinkedIn profile, the Harvard University student has been working for the NYC office of the mayor since June 2022.
Adams has previously been spotted spending time with Simmons’ ex-husband, Russell Simmons, who is Aoki and Ming’s father.
In August 2022, the mayor tweeted a photo of himself alongside the rap music mogul, 65, and wrote, “Hip Hop tells the story of this city and of the Bronx.”
He then unveiled a new initiative, “Today, we announced a $2 Million commitment in new capital funding for the Universal Hip Hop Museum alongside $3.5 million from the local elected officials so that the beat of our city will play on for generations to come.”
Kimora and Russell were married for 11 years and divorced in 2009.
Meanwhile, Adams, for his part, has reportedly been in a relationship with his longtime girlfriend, Tracey Collins, for many years.
The author and assistant superintendent at the city’s Department of Education typically keeps a low profile — aside from a glamorous night at the 2022 Met Gala — and was not present at the dinner at Nobu.
Reps for Kimora did not return Page Six’s request for comment.
