It was worth it and they, apparently, enjoyed it.
The Michelob Ultra x Netflix “Full Swing” premiere & Super Bowl afterparty hit a snafu on Saturday night when they ran out of their signature drink with hours left to go in the party.
Around 10 p.m., bartenders were telling people they only had water and soda to serve and had been cleared out of Michelob Ultra and all hard liquor.
“That’s f–king insane,” one partygoer was overheard saying at the event, which was held at Top Golf at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Another fan was praised by pals when he happened to find one of the last remaining coveted beers.
The buzz, however, was quickly abated by DJ Pee.Wee (Anderson. Paak), who drove onto the middle of the putting green in a truck for his set.
Although they weren’t able to get more Michelob Ultras, the bar was also fully restocked with hard liquor within 30 minutes.
Following Pee.Wee’s set, DJ Khaled took the stage and performed a melody of greatest hits, which was topped off by a firework show over the green. Offset was on the bill to perform, and was photographed at the event earlier in the night, but did not go onstage.
During the afterparty, hosts Brian Cox and Serena Williams participated in Michelob Ultra’s “Full Swing” golf showdown against DJ Khaled, Offset, Canelo Alvarez and more. Alvarez was the night’s victor. Michelob Ultra Super Bowl bash runs out of Michelob Ultra
Lori Harvey and “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks were also spotted at the event.
Earlier in the night, Netflix premiered their upcoming documentary “Full Swing,” a documentary following a group of golfers, on and off the course, during a PGA golf tour.
Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau, Matt Fitzpatrick and Joel Dahmen were all in attendance.
“Full Swing” premieres on Netflix on Feb. 15.
