Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s nine-month-old son favors the “L$D” rapper over his mom.
“I’m literally the girl trying to get into the boys club, waiting for my turn,” Rihanna told British Vogue in an interview for her March cover issue, where the couple’s son made his magazine debut.
“He is obsessed with his father. And I’m like: ‘Didn’t I give birth to you? What is going on?’”
Rihanna, 34, called the connection between Rocky, also 34, and their baby boy “undeniable.”
“The second Rocky makes eye contact with him he is on fire,” Rihanna said. “The whole thing they say about sons and moms, it’s a myth. Sons and fathers is crazy.”
The “Diamonds” singer, who is currently pregnant with baby number two, added, “I realized that the validation that you really need as a boy is from your father.”
But having a baby together has only made Rihanna’s relationship with Rocky grow even stronger.
“We’re best friends with a baby,” she laughed. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
Rihanna also admitted that Rocky definitely liked the idea of having a boy.

“At first he was open, then he was like, ‘Nah, I want a boy, I’m sure.’” she said, adding with a smile, “I was just like, ‘Lord, please let this man get what he wants.’”
Back in January 2022, Rihanna and Rocky revealed they were expecting their first child when they went for a walk in Harlem with the singer’s baby bump on full display. Their son was then born in May 2022.
The couple has since been busy expanding their family as earlier this week, the couple confirmed that they are expecting their second child together.
Rihanna had debuted her growing baby bump while performing for the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, sending fans into a frenzy.

At the time, A$AP was spotted on the sidelines cheering his girlfriend on as she performed and even wore a custom Jeff Hamilton jacket honoring BadGalRiRi.
Later in the evening, Rocky looked “grateful and happy” as he celebrated Rihanna’s pregnancy reveal at a star-studded Super Bowl afterparty.
The Fenty Beauty founder and Rocky had been friends for years before they started dating in late 2020.
Rocky had gushed over Rihanna back in May 2021, calling her the “love of [his] life” in an interview with GQ.
The “Umbrella” artist previously dated Chris Brown — who seemingly congratulated her on her pregnancy Sunday night — as well as Drake and fellow billionaire Hassan Jameel.
