Cetaphil cleanser may have been around for decades, but it’s anything but washed up.
In a Vogue “Beauty Secrets” video on Friday, Julianne Moore revealed she uses the brand’s Daily Facial Cleanser ($9.99) as part of her everyday beauty regimen, saying she needed a product she can “get all over the world” due to her travel schedule.
The skincare staple is among the most inexpensive items in her arsenal, followed by another drugstore beauty find: Biore UV Aqua Rich Sunscreen ($14).
Moore’s far from the first star to swear by Cetaphil, however; a slew of other celebrities have also traded high-priced skincare for the beauty basic, which promises to remove “excess oil without drying” the skin.
Gigi Hadid touted the cleanser in her own Vogue “Beauty Secrets” video last year, saying, “Whenever I’m working a lot, or I’m wearing a lot of makeup, or I’m coming from a shoot, I use Cetaphil because I just feel like it really cleans my skin.”
“I’ve always really gone for drugstore skincare,” she added. “I really just wanted good products and I don’t always think that you have to pay a lot for that.”

Megan Thee Stallion also slathers some on as part of her nightly routine, dubbing it “the only thing [she] can use” for her “sensitive” skin in a Harper’s Bazaar video.
“I used to have acne — bad, okay?” she explained. “And this really got me through my tough time, so I would definitely recommend this if you’ve got oily skin and if you’re having a bad breakout. This always just calms my face down.”
Also among the stars pumping up the pump-bottle cleanser? Reese Witherspoon, who once told Refinery29 she keeps some on hand for traveling.
Lizzo, meanwhile, is stocking up on a different Cetaphil staple: the Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser ($15), which she told TikTok followers is what her makeup artist, Alexx Mayo, recommended for washing her face.
Whichever formula you prefer, when it comes to an under-$20 cleanser celebs love, it’s safe to say Cetaphil cleans up.
