YouTuber Jenna Marbles and her new husband Julien Solomita were forced to fend off a stalker in a terrifying start to the new year.
Cops were called to the newlyweds’ home Monday after an alleged stalker showed up at the Los Angeles property, TMZ reports.
The woman, whose name has not been made public, reportedly showed up looking for Solomita before the altercation. The outlet reports that the woman came to the property twice on Monday, and Solomita pepper sprayed her each time.
TMZ says Marbles, whose real name is Jenna Mourey, was upstairs at the time of the heated exchange.
Sources tell the outlet that once the woman is released from the hospital, she will be booked for felony stalking.
Page Six has reached out to Marbles’ reps for comment.
The frightening start to the new year follows hot on the heels of newlywed bliss for the pair, who finally tied the knot last month after nine years of dating.
The groom shared the news in an Instagram slideshow on Dec. 22, calling himself and Marbles “married otters.”
The vegan chef, who began dating the YouTube star in 2014, told fans about their engagement in April 2021.
Solomita clarified that the proposal happened “probably longer ago than you think,” adding that even though Marbles had gifted him with a temporary ring of his own, he took it off for Twitch streams.
While Mourey hasn’t had an active Instagram since her 2020 social media departure, Solomita occasionally gives relationship updates on his own account.
Mourey stopped creating content after backlash over racist videos from her early days on YouTube.
“I’m incredibly sorry if [I] offended you then, now, whenever,” she said while announcing her exit after a decade on the platform. “It’s not cool, it’s not cute … and I’m embarrassed.”
