Julie Chrisley locked up at same prison as ‘Cheer’ star Jerry Harris

It’s as star-studded as penitentiaries get.

Despite reporting to prison just days ago, Julie Chrisley is already rubbing shoulders with some notable names.

According to TMZ, the “Chrisley Knows Best” star is serving time at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky — the same prison Netflix’s “Cheer” star Jerry Harris was incarcerated in last August.

The former cheerleader was sentenced to 12 years in prison for sex crimes involving minors. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.

The popular Netflix show followed the Navarro College cheerleading squad’s journey to competitions and even addressed Harris’ arrest in the second season.

Meanwhile, Chrisley was sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison for fraud and tax evasion in November alongside her husband, Todd Chrisley.

The outlet reports that male and female inmates are kept in a separate section of the prison facility, however, they do get to socialize in the yard at appropriate times.

Harris’s attorney, Todd Pugh, told TMZ that the ex-Navarro cheerleader is “doing well for someone who is in prison.”

Harris has “acclimated himself to custodial life and is participating in every type of self-betterment program available,” Pugh added.

Harris, 23, was also ordered to sign up for a mental health treatment program and take any medications prescribed.

He was arrested in September 2020 after the FBI raided his Naperville, Ill. home and charged him with producing child pornography. Harris also allegedly solicited sex from minors at cheerleading competitions and coerced teen boys to send him inappropriate pictures.

In February 2022, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting one boy, 15, and paying another, 17, to send him sexually explicit photos and videos.

For their part, the Chrisleys sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison for fraud and tax evasion.

Prosecutors accused the pair of being “career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors and evading taxes at every corner.”

Prior to reporting to their respective prisons this week, the reality stars-turned-convicted fraudsters said they have “hope” and “faith” that they will have a successful appeal.
