Prince Louis looks up to his big sister in more ways than one.
Much like this summer, when his Platinum Jubilee antics delighted royal fans, 4-year-old Louis was the star of the show as the royal family carried out their traditional Christmas Day walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham yesterday — and the little royal twinned with his sister, 7-year-old Princess Charlotte, for the occasion.
Pairing his navy, velvet-trimmed Trotters Heritage Classic Coat (from $224) with burgundy shorts and navy knee socks, Louis grinned as he made his first Christmas Day appearance with the family — and even tugged on his mom’s arm when he got bored of chatting with the crowd.
Per royal fashion blog What Kate’s Kids Wore, Louis also took some style inspo from his 9-year-old brother, Prince George: The checked dress shirt he wore under his coat appears to be the same one the eldest Wales child wore to the Queen’s Christmas lunch in 2018.
Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte sported the same Trotters coat in burgundy — although hers included an additional fourth row of buttons — teamed with navy tights and Mary Jane shoes.
If her outerwear looks familiar, it’s likely because Charlotte sported the same style at the “Together at Christmas” carol concert on December 15, which she attended alongside her parents and Prince George.
Kate Middleton and Prince William looked dapper yesterday as well, with the princess bundling up in an olive green coat by Alexander McQueen along with a new Philip Treacy hat, while the Prince of Wales wore a navy suit and tie to match Prince George.
After his silly faces at the Jubilee, it wasn’t surprising that Prince Louis stayed at home for the second-annual carol service, but his Christmas Day appearance marks a milestone for the little royal; younger children aren’t included in the annual church visit.
Let’s hope we see more of Louis and his adorable style in 2023.
