Rihanna shares sneak peek of Super Bowl Halftime performance

Please, don’t stop the music.

Rihanna unleashed a brand new sneak peek of what fans can expect to see during next month’s hotly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance.

The singer, 34, shared a teaser on social media Friday morning that shows her step into the spotlight with sound bites of fans playing in the background.

“We’ve waited for you,” one fan could be heard saying in the video, with another voice saying that it has been over a whopping 2,000 days since she last performed live.

“RiRi, where have you been?!” another fan says later before she makes a shushing gesture. Her hit track “Needed Me” then plays at the end.

Rihanna sported a yellow fur coat in the clip, adorned with flashy jewelry. She topped the striking look off with a pop of color and vibrant makeup.

Earlier this week, the National Football League posted a video of Rihanna wearing a Fenty-branded football hoodie that she first posted to her Instagram story.

“[Five] weeks from today,” her Instagram post teased on January 9.

Rihanna announced in September that she would be performing in the Halftime Show, which will be produced by DPS, with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton as director.

In 2018, the “Kiss It Better” hitmaker was previously approached to perform the halftime show for Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.

However, she turned it down at the time amid controversy surrounding the NFL’s treatment of Colin Kaepernick. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback was both praised and criticized for taking a knee during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and social injustice.

The show was ultimately headlined by Adam Levine’s pop rock band, Maroon 5, with special guests Big Boi and Travis Scott.

Rihanna’s headlining gig will be the first to be sponsored by Apple Music, which is taking over the reins from Pepsi.

Super Bowl 2023 will take place Feb. 12 in Glendale, Arizona.
