It looks like her daughter’s the teacher now.
The “Abbott Elementary” actress told E! host Laverne Cox that her 27-year-old has been behind her “winning” looks this awards season.
“My very beautiful daughter, Ivy Coco … has been on this whole award train with me from the beginning,” Ralph, 66, explained of the collaboration on the carpet.
“I said, ‘You get my style, Coco.’ I said, ‘You get me, you get the style, and let’s do this. And she’s been winning — I’ve been on every best-dressed list, including the New York Times, and I thank my child. Every birthing pain was worth it!”
Ralph, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her “Abbott Elementary” role, looked regal in a custom purple embellished Aliétte gown that her stylist, Jason Rembert, said took 960 hours to make by hand.
The actress played up her vibrant dress with matching violet eye makeup and Natalie Mills jewelry, and brought — who else? — Ivy Coco as her date for the evening.
Ralph shares Ivy with her ex-husband, French businessman Eric Maurice.
During a different red carpet interview, Ralph threw a bit of shade at the Kardashians when asked about the advice she’d give her younger self.
“There’s nothing wrong with your nose. There is nothing wrong with the shade of your skin. There is nothing wrong with the way your hair grows out of your head,” the star said.
“And there certainly is nothing wrong with your lips, because there will be people called the Kardashians and they will pay $10,000 for your lips. Hang in there, 15-year-old Sheryl Lee Ralph.”
